Default Commuting from Jackson MS

Hi everyone,
I’m currently in the process of figuring out what would be the best commutable base for a new hire at PSA from the Jackson MS area. My significant other currently has two more years of school left to compete her doctorate. Before we can move to somewhere that will fit both our requirements. I also have the option of flying out of Memphis for commuting. Any advice on bases and commuting would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

DCA or CLT offer you one leg commutes. Both bases are fairly senior on the FO side. DCA is junior (for now) on the CA side. Every other base would be a two leg commute.

Good news is the flying to DCA/CLT is on PSA.

Are you in Jackson?

Two leg to SAP asap (probably DAY) is superior to commuting to reserve. For commuting to reserve, probably DCA.

You can commute to PHL out of MEM as well. Tons of PSA guys from MEM.

I currently live in northern New England and right now. If I was to commute where I live now my only option for one leg commute would be DCA, CLT and PHL, but from my understanding those are pretty senior bases. So I figure if I don’t want to sit on reserve for a long time. I would have to do a two leg commute to the junior bases ether way.

Thanks for the info and advice much appreciated.

If you’re living in Jackson CLT and DCA are the only 1 leg commutes you will have. You could 2 leg commute but it’s miserable but worth it if you have SAP.
