Cadet Captain Review

Hi all, I've been a cadet since my private license. I've been a CFI cadet instructor for a bit and I'm very close to my hours. I'm just curious if anyone of you have a gouge for the captain review. They are having me fly to CLT 100 hours before my times are met. I heard we just go over plates, some instrument stuff and go over my log book. Does anyone have any insights?

Thanks for the help! I promise to become more active on here now :)

Probably easiest if you reach out to your mentor, they should be able to give you the ins and outs of it.

They will bring you in with the rest of the regular interviewees. They'll collect your logbooks first thing and then you'll get a 2ish hour presentation on the company with the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. They'll feed you lunch and then start the interviews in order of departure time. The actual "interview" is very simple. Mine was just a couple HR questions and then some basic instrument questions (basically like a 5 minute version of the original interview). Unless something weird happens during that portion they'll give you the job offer and let you pick a class date right after.

Thanks for the Info. It seems like a quick review and a fast technical brush up. The whole cadet thing seems to have made things easier but I’m preparing as if I’m coming off the street anyways.

Didn’t you already have the second interview where they ask you the technical questions? I believe the captains review is just checking that you have all the proper hours.
