ORF will probably go the way of CAK. Stay a MX base but stop being a crew base at some point. We got cheap facilities from Air Whiskey when they lost their AA flying. It’s strategically located for MX. Not so much for reserve crews. They would be better utilized in a hub.

Theres a lot more folks who live in ORF now. It’s there per AAL request. It’s a great Mx base that is had cheap facilities and a great location in terms of AAL east coast hubs with major PSA ops (no more that 1 hour of flight time to PHL, DCA, and CLT). Oh and btw it supports Mx for A/C in PHL and DCA as those hubs do not offer MX facilities. As they say in real estate, location location location is key.

It’s come from more than just the CP office. They’ll close TYS before ORF. No MX, no room to expand, no crew room, and the least amount of departures a day. TYS makes no sense as a base and I hope it closes for DFW in the future.

OR scheduling can just undergo a massive overhaul, we can clean house in the upper management of the department and instantly have a much healthier "heartbeat" for our company, truly making PSA the most respected airline, recognized for having the best team and performaaaaaa I give up.... is it time to flow yet???

Well I guess we all know what we know then... In the end I’m completely indifferent whether it stays open or closes. But for the sake of our pilots there I hope it stays open. It creates a lot of upheaval for our pilots when/if they close a base.
