Mesa is a net 7 900 lost off their contract, with additional early outs and other options in AA’s favor. Also people can spout the were the most expensive koolaid all they want. But when it comes down to it, it’s apples to oranges. Envoy and PDT are offset by their ground ops, but grounds ops can run independently from a flight ops side (see DGS).

if I’m wrong why did the company refuse to provide the financials requested by ALPA for furlough mitigation. Because we’d have found the truth and the rumor we are sooooo expensive is good for business. Chris has guys scared to death that they’d probably work for free the keep the doors open.

Reason I say this is I’ve heard the that chairman prior to TR had an investigation done and that’s what was found. Take it as you will.

I'm just continuing the trend of pushing random garbage . No one knows what is going to happen, so stressing out over it isn't worth it. Random speculation by anyone not on the MEC, management, or upper AA management is not worth your time. Everyone take a deep breath and just do your job. He is right, keep your options open and resume up to date. But beyond that, no one has control over anything.

Exactly I keep saying that if these guys are so smart that predict the doom of PSA then first of all why haven't they bailed already, and if you have such precise insider info on the industry then they should be playing the markets, or welcomed into management on a red carpet not flying the line.

No one has any clue what will happen, and anyone who claims to know is delusional.

Everyone likes to compare the AA WO’s to Delta’s WO’s back in the early 2000’s. Totally different timeframe and scenario. The WO’s aren’t going anywhere. Yes, I agree that AA is in a total cost savings mode. However, the light is at the end of the tunnel, WE KNOW that travel will BOOM once this gets under control. They aren’t going to close PSA down and then 2 years later give Mesa new airplanes. That’s total crap.

Sorry I’m so ignorant about my union, me and the majority of our pilot group. I don’t know why so many of our pilots specifically are just so ignorant and worthless and won’t put in the time and effort to educate ourselves.

I wonder how all those other unions force their dang pilots to engage with their union. Why are all the pilots at PSA just so dang ignorant??

it’s a mystery....

I think the lack of engagement comes from the top down. If the union won’t engage and communicate with the pilot group many line pilots won’t engage in the union.

I’ve seen the numbers and ALPA has very good people at E&FA who got them pretty damn close. I’m not trying to scare anyone. Just being pragmatic. Most of our pilots aren’t very well educated on this industry, organized labor at the airlines, or even the structure of their union. I just tell it like it is. We can burn this place to the ground together if you want. I’ll be fine if PSA disappears. Will you?
