Default Why PSA?

I know APF basically exist on cynicism, but as a bright eyed FO-candidate with 5 CJOs, what is your best argument for why PSA would be a good choice?

SAP is far an away the best reason
If you happen to live in base that could be a reason
Flow for the insurance in case you fail some or many training events you still can go to a major but it’s really only insurance

I am going to have no choice but to commute based on my family situation, so it seems SAP would be even more valuable in that case. Am I right?

PSA is a pretty solid place to come if you want to work for United, Delta, or FedEx since that's where the vast majority of our pilots have been going.

If you're goal is to go to American then seriously look elsewhere.

The majority of the regionals are currently being decimated by all of the hiring that is going on and most will be out of pilots (which means out of business) before the end of the year.

With that said, pick one where you can get as much experience as possible, build a resume, and get out.

Besides, AA will likely fold in the AA WO regionals before the end of the year so being at a WO may be a very, very good thing - especially if you want to work for AA.

If you think AA is going to lead the charge on anything I want to buy what you're smoking. Flow is a joke at this point. As someone else said, if AA is the goal, go somewhere else. Even consider some of the LCCs

The writing is on the wall, if you have a good business sense and can look over the horizon. A lot of pilots (heck, a lot of people as a whole) can only look at what is two feet in front of them.

A good example was when I posted, repeatedly, just a few years ago that there was going to be a shortage of regional pilots in a few years because of massive hiring by the majors. With upcoming massive retirements with the majors, it was obvious. I was called crazy, stupid, and my mother’s morals were questioned. Now if you look at those posts, you will see what is coming to pass this very moment. It does not take a rocket scientist. It just requires good business sense and being able to look further than two feet in front of them.
