Most junior line for CA is DCA at 3.8 years. Other bases are each between 4 and 5 years with the most senior being DAY.

These times are expected to come down a bit more, but we are now at full pace in training mode, so expect them to to drop some then plateau. Even at max hiring in 2019, it took about 10 months to get off reserve as an FO in a senior base. I'm not sure how much lower CA times will go.
I can probably guess the answer, but are the lines in DCA commutable on both ends at all? Do they care if you haven't flown for a couple years? I have the CRJ type and over 1000 121, but got out of another airline at the start of covid due to QOL becoming impossible with schedule reductions and base closures/realignments. Want to get back in and evaluating all the options. Would be fine with being an FO, not really interested in 3.8 years on reserve doing DEC. The best thing PSA seems to have going for it right now are the bonuses, does it seem like those will continue through 2022?

I was poking around the PSA First Officer career page for some info and this jumped out at me:

Qualifications

Required
• Must be a current CFI, actively instructing

Is PSA really limiting new hires to being active flight instructors only? Why would they limit themselves to this single population in these hiring conditions and is there a big enough pool for them to draw from? That just seems strange...

Doubt they are limiting g their hiring pool to just CFIs only.

I don’t know why that’s listed, it’s definitely not the reality of the requirements. I just got done with ground school and 1/2 (at most) of the class was an active CFI immediately before indoc. I am a CFI, but my last job was flying Part 135 cargo.

What does training for PSA look like these days? I hear 5 weeks in DAY for Gnd School and do you solely go to CLT for sim training or elsewhere?

5 weeks for ground in Dayton. Most sims are in CLT but could be elsewhere. Like other airlines we have been sending instructors and new hires to other sim locations outside CLT for sim availability for the amount of hiring taking place.

Are they still planning on moving ground to CLT at some point?
