United and Delta eating PSA

Am I wrong or does every captain at PSA have a trip to ATL or DEN coming up?

Ok so a three-course meal

For anyone that is paying attention, United hired a bunch of the HR staff from PDT, PSA, and Envoy to work in recruiting at United.

Then, in what must be a completely unrelated set of events, United started hiring some of the best candidates from the 3 AA WO. For instance, all of the Check Airmen, instructors, etc... Almost like United knew who the best candidates were.

Obviously these two things are completely unrelated.

I am sure Kirby is laughing when he hears in meetings how many pilots United has hired from AA's regionals.

That new Facebook group for people leaving and those that have left PSA already is great. It really gives a glimpse into what is happening in the industry right now.

Yeah… that’s what desperation looks like actually. Kirby isn’t laughing trust me. At UA we need to hire continuously at a greater rate than we are right now. This little Aviate “academy” we’re making up to help cover retirement/growth won’t cut it, and will lead to extra training costs for obvious reasons (regional training programs are designed around turning CFI’s into 121 pilots). Our aviate pool will be dried up by early next year supposedly. The regional airlines we have control over are literally failing. CommutAir and GoJet are a complete joke at this point when referring to any performance metric, and air wisco isn’t much better.

The largest issue Kirby has is SkyWest and Republic not under his control. That’s around 10,000 pilots and half the available potential hires. All it takes is for Delta to buy out SkyWest and bring them in-house and we’re hosed. We’ll have a hard time hiring to match our retirements let alone growth. That’s not even considering the costs of bringing in subpar talent from this broke man’s ATP “academy” (sponsored by Boeing 😩 ).

The last time UA tried this Zero to Hero Bull$hit they had their “hero” pilots bending metal with 200+ Pax in the back.

Next you'll have to hire all the guys like me you keep passing over. I'm patiently waiting.

Maybe we should start a club.

To be honest I left that group because I found it to be somewhat arrogant. I saw way more people who have managed to get out commenting opposed to present people and seemed to be a bragging fest. And a recent post from someone commenting on how they could have any legacy job they wanted but they stay at psa to avoid commuting and are trying for AA.
A good topic of discussion I feel would be how normal people get out or maybe how people get out who don’t have a clean 121 record. I wanted to post but was afraid of criticism for it. So here I am. Hey everyone lol.
