Non-Compete Contracts

With PSA struggling so much, I know a couple of people who have signed the non-compete contract/acceptance letter but also have a couple other CJOs from regionals who seem to be doing better. Anybody out there actually sign that contract then leave to go to another regional BEFORE starting training? Wondering what the consequences would be since you've already signed the contract but aren't officially an employee since you haven't even taken the drug screen or passed the captain's review board yet....

It looks like you answered your own question...If you're not an employee yet you're not competing with anything. You're not considered employed or an employee until first day of indoc. Take another job and use that contract for a fire starter.

I did this and parted ways amicably.

That is very encouraging. A couple months ago when the contract was signed everything seemed to be going okay at PSA.

It wasn't much better a couple months ago. Writing has been on the wall for awhile now.
