Just Applied

I know the regionals aren't really picking up 1500 hour CFIs much anymore. Just trying to asses if I am a competitive applicant: Part 135 Captain/Training Captain, unrestricted ATP AMEL, 1900 TT, 1,000 multi-turbine, 500 of that as Captain. No checkride failures, CFI/CFII/MEI. Thanks!

Go to a job fair to get attention quicker but probably competitive.

I'm assuming your 500 TPIC doesn't meet requirements for 121 captain upgrade.

If so 1000 Multi turbine, 500 TPIC and a type rating are very solid. That puts you head and shoulders above MANY MANY applicants. But the big question is how many they are hiring and how many applicants they have which is hard to gauge. Are the hiring 300 this year and have 1500 applicants like you and 5000 piston CFI's. You may be simultaneously "competitive" yet also unlikely to be hired.

I'd be hustling for somethign that counts towards
(ii) Pilot in command in operations under § 91.1053(a)(2)(i) of this chapter;

(iii) Pilot in command in operations under § 135.243(a)(1) of this chapter;

(iv) Pilot in command in eligible on-demand operations that require the pilot to satisfy § 135.4(a)(2)(ii)(A) of this chapter

I do not recommend going into your first 121 airline as a DEC. First jet, New plane, New airline SOP new FAA reg applications. Great way to set yourself up for failure.
