Default PSA's Facebook Page

I noticed a story recently from PSA's FB page promoting a story about one of their pilot's who had recently flowed. The pilot was described as being a 10 first officer. I instantly wondered how somebody would remain a first officer for 10 years. When I questioned PSA, they claimed he'd declined to upgrade.

Does that seem weird?

Some guys stay as FOs so they can stay in the training department as ground instructors.

Ask any Envoy or ExpressJet pilot and they'll have an easy answer for you.

I know that guy, and he recently sent out a message on another site that he did not say the things that they have quoted him as saying. He answered a few questions about delivering the new 900's, but the rest was made up by the company.

Hopefully those ad's will be gone soon. I hope he can sue the company.

Wow. That is pathetic. Putting him on the FB page and quoting stuff he never said? Pretty insane your employer would do that. I would be ****ed.

Why would someone decline a more liveable wage?

Not everyone depends on their pilot salary alone to live. And there are a few for whom money doesn't matter as much as QoL. Some things, money truly cannot buy.
