Hiring stats thread?

Been on the board a couple weeks and have searched around. Is there a thread showing flight time for recent hires? Keep seeing "I'm hired" posts, but never any experience numbers.

Anyone interested in a thread like that? Simply - hired by X airline, Y TT, Z ME.... etc

Every company that is a regional is hiring at R-ATP or ATP mins depending on what you qualify for. Apply and you'll be sitting in a interview within a week. Usually also they'll interview you and give you a CJO if your within like 200 hours of meeting the mins

I have 1600 hours, haven't flown in 8 years (furloughed in 2008), don't have a first class medical (in the process of getting one), sent emails to 5 regionals, and could have had 4 interviews. All within a week.

If you can fog a mirror, you can fly an airplane.

Wrong, you can get an interview not necessarily get hired and pass training/testing.

Despite popular opinion it doesn't take a rocket scientist to pass a regional training program.

That was the case a few years ago. Today's market anyone with time and a clean record can get a job at a regional.

Technically true, but in this market it is arguably just as difficult to fog a mirror than it is to get hired and pass training.

That being said, I guess I meant to say, "Fog a mirror, get an interview". I guess I just assumed that you could get past the interview and training if you can get the interview. Plus, if you can't pass training and testing, you could still fly for Mesa.;)

That's a pretty disparaging thing to say about a fellow pilot. What makes you think your fecal matter smells better than theirs? You're a douche for trying to demean others in your own profession.

Hired at Piedmont with a march 6th class date.
TT - 3000
Jet time - 950 (prior 121)
ME - 1400ish
Helicopter - 1000ish
PIC - 1750
No TPIC

Applied to the big 3 and most of the lccs. Also applied to a couple regionals. The regionals called and i interviewed with them. Pdt was the best fit for me. Not holding my breath for the majors... if and when they call, i will asses it then and make the best decision for my family and I.

I know several pilots that have recently interviewed and not been offered a job after with PSA. I am sure that the same is true with many regionals.

Sure, there are some that will hire without even interviewing the pilot, but that is the exception to the rule, and not the norm.
