Easiest Junior Commute from MSP

I am re-entering the airlines after 10 years out of the game (no ATP, no Type). I plan to enter at a Regional with a fast upgrade. Looking for some advice from those of you who do it every day on what are the easy commutes from MSP to junior domiciles of leading Regionals.....GO. Extra Credit, do they pay hotels?

Go work for Skywest and be msp based. One of their more junior bases, not most junior but a top 3. Why commute when you can live in a junior domicile

Maybe he wants to actually make money while he flies? :D

I fly for EDV and actually commute through MSP to NYC from out west. Haven't missed a single connecting flight. With the ATL news, I know better than to bid that via MSP, so I'm content with my east coast commuting.

Commuting is definitely a pick your poison type of thing, but I've enjoyed some good luck since coming here.

SKW if you don't care about making less nor a slow upgrade and desire the QoL that comes with driving to work and not wasting time commuting.

EDV or PDT if you don't mind an East coast commute. Better money, little to no RSV, and faster upgrade. You'll get the flow with PDT, as well as carry-over of retirement benefits if you end up making it to AA. With EDV, you'll start over at DAL from the bottom, day 1, with 10 years to achieve those retirement flight bennies.

You didn't mention your age, but being older, you have less time to count on a flow or the DGI. Younger, and either one can be a benefit.

Upgrade is under two years at Skywest even for MSP right now. Not sure I want some guy with less than 2 years as my Captain trying to figure **** out with a brand new FO next him...

PDT would be a flight to PHL, yes a few hotel rooms a month. Growing like crazy, and upgrade essentially as soon as you have 1000 hrs 121 time. You are welcome to PM me or ask here if you have any specific questions.

SkyWest. Try for MSP but you can always get ORD and there are 30 flights a day between the 2. Very commutable
