Same impression I had. I believe it used to be paid out on day one at all the WOs, but has been switched to after IOE.

Straight from copy of bonus contract sent out with new hire info email:

"...will be processed at the later of, full verification by PSA of the information provided by you which includes, but is not limited to, successful completion of a full background check, including driving history and a satisfactory review of your records under the Pilot Records Improvement Act (PRIA), or satisfactory completion of your initial Proficiency Checkride."

Generally now at PSA they are waiting until after you pass your checkride. This is actually more beneficial to you because first you won't be in Dayton so you won't have the Dayton city taxes withheld, plus if someone does happen to wash out it's almost always at or before the checkride. If they pay you the bonus with taxes withheld and you wash out then you'd have to pay back the full pre-tax amount or get sent to collections.

Compared to what? I doubt very many people are applying at PSA while turning down Atlas or Spirit. They offer $40 an hour, plus 10k a year, plus a 10k bonus, plus a flow, plus a quick upgrade. Endeavor offers all that, with different bases, but other than that, there aren't many company's with as much of a balance of a whole package.

Been at PSA 3 and a half years. It hasn't blown hardly at all. Pay was exactly as expected ( 24 an hour back then) There was and still is growth, reserve sucks, but reserve is part of airline life, if you can't handle it then i bet you cant handle 135 either. 135 was 1000 times more stressful that 121. Flying totally broken airplanes pretending everything is okay.

The way to look at PSA or any regional is "This is the means to an end" That end is up to you. IF you want to go to a Major, LCC, or Cargo outfit, its good enough. Because its temporary, if you want to be a lifer or long term PSAer, well, you're an idiot and you will hate it.

Anyone know any details concerning the email about PSA teaming up with Pilot Credentials/Coradine to provide our pilots/cadets with access to LogTen Pro X?

I'm in the market to switch digital logbooks, so this could be an interesting development.

There are details on processing. It is a discount for current employees, and a free "trial" subscription for cadet and RTP members.

Shame it's on a Mac only platform.

I just got an email from PSA offering LogTen Pro X to the RTP candidates for 12 months free of charge.
