Logging flight time

What columns do you guys log in your logbooks? As a regional 121 FO I have been doing Total time, multi, turbine, SIC, night, inst, landings and approaches. I am thinking about stopping logging of night, inst, landings and approaches. Will it help/hurt me in an interview? Thanks

You should keep logging that stuff, otherwise it would look funny.

You must log the landings anyway, otherwise you will lose 121 currency!

To simplify night, I only log night time for legs that were flown entirely at night...so I don't have to split up legs.

Inst & approaches you definately want to log, most majors care at least a little (AK cares a lot).

log everything bro, EVERYTHING

I log it all. Why stop? It's not that hard and it makes the logbook look better and more professional, like you actually care.

The biggest question I had logging flight time when I got to the airline world was how frequent should the entries be? Do you guys do one leg per line? One day? One trip? What do you guys think?

Im still using the ASA standard pilot log book that I have been since my first flying lesson 12 years ago.... I just finished chewing through my second one... The only thing I'm doing differently is Im only using one line per day instead of per leg.....

I do daily entries one line for the whole day of flying

I only do one entry per month in my logbook. I keep track of my daily flying in the airline pilot daily logbook with paper backups.

If you multiple turns in a day, how do you list that in the to-from section?...or do ya just write it in the remarks section?

or would it be like phx-lax-phx-den-phx (that can get really cluttered)

I just write it in one line across the two columns for to-from. Gets tight on a 5 leg day but it works.

Example:

__TO__|__FROM__
IAH-MEM-EWR-SYR
