Colgan B1900 Cities?

Just curious what you Colgan guys have heard of what will happen to service at the B1900 cities that you serve once they get rid of all the B1900s (which I heard could be this summer or fall). In particular, does anyone know much about SHD? That is where I am based (General Aviation) and I have used Colgan several times out of SHD. Just curious if they would discontinue or actually base a Saab out of SHD. Any thoughts would be great. Thanks!

No, we won't send the Saab into all of them.

Why? Because some of them aren't long enough (BLF, etc).

What will happen to these others? I'm guessing the routes will be up for a new EAS bidder (Air Midwest, god i hate mesa)

Yeah aren't they supposed to be flying out of Boston? If so, that would cover 4 Beech bases for Colgan. I think some of them will be able to take SAABs but the other issue is fire and rescue response which means a 19 seat limit. So, when the Beech goes, Colgan goes.

SHD will get a saab put on it. It meets the requirements for fire/rescue etc. It prob wont happen until close to the end of the yr. You could always get based at cho and commute until they open shd. SHD isn't EAS and has pretty decent loads. I wouldn't expect to see SHD go away soon.

You're right, but US Airways could tell Colgan- we're not getting the passengers needed, close it down.

THEN we would see Big Sky or Air Midwest in there. Scumbags.

I'm kind of surprised UAL doesn't have CJC fly the 340 in there...It would be a lot easier to connect to a United flight in IAD than have a guaranteed 3 leg connection(s) just to get to Orlando.

But on the other hand UAL is Star Alliance...so maybe it doesnt make a big deal.
