Regionals Hiring CA's Off The Street?
Curious if any regionals are hiring CA's off the street & what mins. they'd be looking for.
Thanks. |
Gojet was the only one I know of recently. If you haven't flown 121 I would highly suggest getting some right seat time. Plus I'm sure you know the mins to upgrade at a 121 carrier.

Tsa hires off the street CA but you're hired as a FO but are able to bid CA. I belive it's the same practice as Gojet but per the contract Tsa can't hire "street ca" so they get around that by calling them Captain FOs.

PSA has done it off and on the last couple years as well. However I think right now it's GoJet and TSA. I've also heard If you have the 121 time for upgrade you can upgrade almost immediately at Commutair and Endeavor.

Endeavor (as of now, don't expect it to last) is hiring guys with 121 and getting upgraded around 4 monthes in. Take that with a grain of salt though.

Myself and another classmate were awarded a CA slot in indoc at CommutAir. Class after me had another 4 awarded CA slots. If you've got 1000 121 time, should be the same case for you

Piedmont is basically hiring street captains as well. You just have to get through FO SOE first. Then you are permitted to bid for upgrade.

That's only on the Dash nowadays. The days of jet captain awarded in new hire training are gone.
