Republic Bases

How do the domiciles for Republic work. Are certain bases for certain aircraft? How do the different carriers such as Shuttle America and Chautauqua relate to Republic and the bases?

MoonShot 03-05-2007 07:08 PM

Off the top of my head:

Republic Bases (All 170's)

DCA
PIT
IND
DEN

Shuttle America Bases (All 170's)

ORD
IND
CMH

Chautauqua Bases

SDF - CRJ
IAH - CRJ
CRP - CRJ
STL - 140's
CVG - 135's
The rest are 145's
IND
SDF
GSO
BUF
LGA
CMH
RIC

Am I missing any?

iflyjets4food 03-07-2007 05:01 PM

Good job. I don't think you're missing any.

www.republicpilots.org

I don't know how long they'll keep the newhire section open if the flaming continues, but there is a wealth of information on the front page there as well as in the newhire section.

What's the most junior 145 FO base(s)?

iflyjets4food 04-14-2007 09:06 AM

Right now, if you get the 145, you'll probably end up in whatever you want, as long as it isn't BUF or LGA. If you don't get what you want, you can probably get it in a month or two. LGA is really senior. Last I looked, the most junior FO at LGA had a year at the company.

I'm in the May 30th class for the CRJ. Will I be on reserve longer than the ERJ guys?

TXTECHKA 04-14-2007 12:47 PM

I'm in class with you.

ladder1423 04-14-2007 12:55 PM

Does anyone know how hard is ORD to get as a base with Shuttle America? Any help would be much appreciated.

rytheflyguy 04-14-2007 04:18 PM

ORD is more senior for FOs than IND or CMH. The most junior FO in ORD is a 5/30/06 hire.

inchina 04-15-2007 03:16 AM

How long would a new FO have to be with the company to hold Buffalo?

I really do not know, cause I am on the 145. It would depend how many more CRJ guys they need to hire.

There's really no way to tell. I would think with the amount of people they want to hire that reserve wouldn't be too bad. Linda said that there were people that didn't have to do reserve at all. I'm pretty optimistic about it. Hey send me a pm message if you can so we can get each other's information to get in touch before class. What kind of background do you come from (other regional, cfi, cargo)??

I think rumor has it that base is closing, but I'm not a 145 driver and don't pay attention since it can't affect my monthly bidding. It's a small base - less than 20 FO's and the most junior FO is a December 2006 hire.

Just out of curiosity, what are you basing that on?

No you won't. If you bid corpus currently you'll walk right onto the line. The most senior guy was still in training as of 2 weeks ago.

TXTECHKA 04-16-2007 07:02 PM

See thats what I had heard also. (about corpus) Houston is supposed to take a little bit longer but not a lot. The program is new and understaffed supposedly. Of course it's all rumors.

kdoner 04-16-2007 08:43 PM

Amount of time at the company....
i.e years of service

SharkyBN584 04-16-2007 10:04 PM

DCA is still pretty junior for Republic 170 FO's.

kremit14 05-11-2007 02:56 AM

Just got hired onto the 145 and was wondering if any one lived in RIC or GSO and how do they like it?

I'm based in GSO for the rest of this month. Everyone here is great, one big happy family. No really, the people down here are great to work with. The city is very nice if you want to live here. I've heard RIC people are much the same, but don't move there unless you're ok with having your wife raped and your dog shot.
