Was that because of low time FOs? Or because of a lack of CRM and the Captain-is-God mentality?

Any United airplane crash with a FO that had 250 hrs? Or 1,500?

I'm thinking of an old poem about a female pilot in a 747 in SFO…

If you want to make a fair comparison, you should ask if either pilot had 1500 hours and an ATP when they were hired as opposed to when they crashed. Because that's what the atp rules requires now.

Regular private ride is $1000 in Socal/South LA.

Twins are renting for $400-$500 an hour if you can find one.

But years or even decades later, how much are you going to look back and say ah-ha! They ran out of fuel near PDX because he was hired with just 300 hrs back 25+ yrs ago?

How many years was it for the colgan captain? Again, the atp rule came about because of that accident. So that's the yardstick to make comparisons by.

Let's be clear.

You think a regional pilot carrying passengers with United, Delta and American painted on the plane are somehow not qualifed to fly at the legacies?

Take a second to think about what you wrote.

Did you go to college? Maybe take a logic class online.

This!!! What's the difference between a regional pilot and a major pilot? PAY! We fly jets to the same places they do. We routinely do 1000+ mile legs in our "regional" jets. It's no longer the days of Saabs and Beech 1900s flying 20 minutes to get to a hub. No longer can you get a job at 250 hours with a wet commercial certificate. It's time we get some unity and stop accepting this self-defeating bull**** attitude that "regional" pilots are second class to major pilots.
