Lynx (Frontier Express) App. fee

Their idea of a 65 dollar "application fee" is more than their hourly captain pay (50)...

Copied from carrer builder...

Uncool.

Considering the staffing problems that a lot of regionals are having right now, I'm curious to see how their Pay For Interviewing works out fort hem.

Doesn't good ole Mesa make you pay to interview there?

Mesa just recently dropped their $50 app fee. How excellent of them. [This means they are hungry for people]

Everybody should mail them a resume and request an app. When you get the application, leave it blank except for the flight times/ratings section, and send it back a check for $.01 with "Application Fee" in the memo... attach a note that on principle you don't "pay to play." Maybe when they get 1000 "applications" from qualified individuals (even if you don't intend to even apply for them) all with notes that they won't pay the fee, the policy will change.

Eventually they'll figure out that it costs them more (in time and postage) to send apps out than to not accept the $60 fee.

This would be great...if we could really get everyone to do it! I imagine it wouldn't take long for them to "reconsider" their fee. I heard they were going to use airline apps any way and that already costs money to apply.
