Default Longest regional flight

Hello everyone,

I read a thread here a couple weeks ago about regional airlines not being that regional anymore (aka your local state turboprop operator like it used to be).
I was quite surprised to see that Skyregional (Air Canada feeder) has a direct flight from Toronto to Dallas and Austin, that's about 1180nm for Austin !
What is (are) the longest flight(s) operated today by a regional ?

I'd guess it's west of the mississipi.

Take care.

Skywest does SFO-MCI on the E175 and its 1497nm (direct I believe)

I've heard there are routes over 1500nm for some regional aircraft though.

Edit: Sky Regional does IAH-YUL. Just shy of 1700nm. We may have a winner.

Envoy and Mesa both do DFW-YUL and IAH-YUL respectively.

Envoy's longest is Dallas to Calgary on the 175. Routing is about 1400nm. Yes, the term "regional airline" doesn't really apply anymore.

Are you using SM or some sort of routing?

Edit: You guys are using SM.
IAH to YUL is 1400 NM.

IAH-YEG
1611 n.m.

A lot of the other numbers here are off. Statute vs nautical, maybe?

To the original point, it's true, regionals are not regional. Scope should have included segment lengths.

Compass has SEA - FAI. About 1400 nm plus or minus 100ish depending on routing.
