Smile Commuting from Rhode Island?

What regional airline would be best if someone wanted to commute out of Providence, RI? My old flight instructor friends chose to go with Endeavor, but Republic also has morning flights to Philly from Providence.

I really want to stay in Rhode Island, but will move if I have to. How should I go about choosing a regional if I want to commute out of Providence? Thanks!

If PHL is an easy commute then Piedmont Airlines and their PHL base would be the one of the best ways to go.

So Piedmont is better overall than Republic?

You're kidding right?
PDT has faster upgrade, larger bonus, guaranteed job at AA if you don't get something better first.

^ all of this, and AA has a Boston base that you could eventually bid for.

And if AA at BOS were to dry up (there are persistent rumors) or you wanted to fly something more than what they have, a drive or train to AA at LGA/JFK would be a great second choice. They will never dry up. If you do mostly 4 day trips, a commute in once a week is pretty sweet.

I've heard of people in that area driving up to Boston and commuting out of there.

I'd do Piedmont.
Boston is a good backup to commute from. PVD can/will cancel a lot in the winter.
