Using 135 PIC Jet experience to upgrade
Can anyone share their experience? With airlines upgrading as soon as one has the "1000 hours", I want to know how they view 135 Jet PIC time? I know what the FAR's say, but I am curious how it has worked in practice.
Say someone is hired with 500hrs Jet PIC in a 135 operation, would they upgrade after they accumulate 500hrs SIC 121? I know some regionals are hiring street captains from other regionals, but havent heard much about anyone coming over from a 135 operation and upgrading usining their qualifying flight time.
Thanks you all.

Strongly recommend at least 500 hours in 121 before upgrading.
It's legal to do with zero 121, and if a regional needs you they'll jam you through but you will have some bad moments as you learn things which most of us were taught, or watched the PIC learn the hard way. The CFI in the right seat won't be much help either.
If you must... the GOM/SOP must become your bibles, and you the high priest.
