Is this Bonus and Retention pay chart correct
Just found this @ pilotjobs.com. While some of this looks legit, e.g. $60K for first year FOs at Endeavor, I don't see how they get $87K for Air Wisconsin.

SkyWest offers $7,500 for a type rating or Part 135 experience.

Not even close to correct. I can see at least a dozen errors.
It amazes me how some companies list their benefits as income and people fall for it. $5000 for flight benefits? Give me a break! |

Some of these hooligans are including your hotel room on the road and parking at your base as compensation. Even including per-diem is sketcy enough as it is.
Endeavor's bonus goes to everyone as soon as they are on property and gets pro-rated as needed depending on when you start in the bonus period. Also Endeavor's pay rates (if the contract extention is voted in, which it probably will) will actually make that compensation figure into a pay rate. It'll be a game changer, unless of course the ATP mins drop and everyone else doesn't have any trouble staffing ERAU grads who want to fly a nice shiny jet and don't care about getting paid anymore, then of course bye bye everything at all the other regionals. So if that happens Endeavor will be contractually locked into that pay, and will remain well above the walmart toilet scrubber pay all the rest of the regionals will return to. |

Tough to crystal ball like that, but if that does happen do you think DL would minimize flying at EDV to save costs? Meaning, would the new TA make EDV uncompetitive?
If we pass our TA at EDV it has a fleet commitment in it as well, so I think that might protect our flying for the length of that (not 100% sure about this), our rates would still be a lot less than what mainline gets, and with the fact that Skywest is really the only other regional that has actually been doing a good job for DL, I think we may be ok. If we don't pass the TA then who knows, nothing is contractual at that point, so we'd be really putting our behinds out in the wind if we don't. All they'd have to keep people here and drinking the coolaid is implement a flow to DL which they've been very against so far, let the bonuses expire, and they'll keep it staffed with guys who will gladly make enough to qualify for foodstamps (and wear their hat) for 8 years just to get the chance to fly for Delta Air Lines. Don't get me wrong, I want a flow as much as the next guy. But I also want to get paid well for the majority of the next decade that would take as well. |
