Mesa Airlines Interveiw?
I heard that Mesa is will guarantee you a crew domacile, is there any truth to this. Another friend told not to belive it becasue Mesa will say anything in order to get qualified aplicants to acceept the job.
Jsut wondering if anyone you had heard anything. For me not having to commute is QOL even though the pay isn't the greatest.
Thanks

Relax. Settledown. And do some research. You will find that MESA is NOT an airline you want to work for. There are too many reasons to discuss on any of these boards why not to work there. The last reason anyone should go there is for a "quick" upgrade. Work on getting QUALITY experience, that is WAY more important than a quick upgrade.
Thanks though.

I know Mesa is not the best Airline ot woirk for but Not having to commute is a huge quality if life. I have spoken to so many pilots that have almost all told me commuting is horrible, so if Mesa can guarantee me Denver, right now that would be awesome. I am not really even looking at uprgrade time.
Thanks though.

They MAY ask you which certificate you would prefer, but don't bet on it. I was asked which I would prefer (for the Dash-8) and I told them the Mesa cert, as opposed to the freedom certificate. I was given the Mesa dash, however some people in my class were not asked or given a choice.
Beyond that, however, you fill spots where ever they need you. I bid DEN 1st, but as the 2nd most junior guy in my dash class, I was awarded my 3rd choice.
Be advised that DEN is a dash base only. The jet guys in my class went to Dulles. I think the 2 most senior guys in the class got ORD. PHX is extremely senior.

If an opening at a domicile becomes available, ANY pilot may bid for that opening, and the most senior pilot wins (assuming no seatlock for that pilot). New-hires are essentially never awarded desireable domiciles. Now if you want to be based in IAD, mesa might be able to follow through with that one
