Default LAX to ORD commute

Anyone do this commute? Is it manageable? Just looking for any opinions, thanks.

It’s manageable. And terrible. Lots of flights all day, but it’s a long way.

I can tell you now it’s going to be terrible and you’re going to absolutely hate it. Most of those flights are full out of LAX, lots of nonrevs, wx in ORD. You will have a bad time.

Plus it is a long flight. You either have to red-eye or lose most of the day flying from LAX to ORD.

Probably lots of options but nothing more fun than cramming your backside in a JS for another 4+ hours at the end of a trip. Also both ORD and LAX can have frequent delays. You'd have to be careful planning your plan B.

I know people that do sfo/LAX to JFK for a regional. No idea why. It sounds awful

Just remember, when all else fails, Spirit is a good bet for a jumpseat. The way the check in system for pax works, you're almost always guaranteed no shows.

I do ATL-LAX. I wouldn’t recommend that to my worst enemy.
