Republic CRJ april class
If anyone is wanting the ERJ but ended up in the CRJ please contact me. Due to the April 5th class being full I was shifted to the April 25th ERJ class. However I'd prefer to be in the CRJ as I could be based at home. If anyone is willing to change please contact me and Mrs. Bannister is willing to swap us.

If something happens and the upgrades stop at the April 5 class, good luck. If for some reason there are furloughs and they STOP at the April 5 class. good luck.

It meant I WOULD have been able to upgrade and get 1000 PIC. Mind you, it would have been as a junior CA on reserve the whole time. But it would have taken the career path in a completely different direction. Instead, that two weeks meant I got to downgrade before finishing upgrade.
When the furloughs came, guess what? My class got the furloughed notice, and it was the most senior of the classes to get them. The guys ahead of me got to keep their jobs ALOT longer. Bear in mind, I took the first class that was offered to me at that company. But had I been hired a class prior, it would be a totally different game.
But whatever, YOUR experience may be different and YOUR mileage may vary.
Sorry to disagree. You can say that regional senority is not that big of a deal. In my experience, it would have been.

You can't know the future, but I agree that even three weeks MIGHT be significant, so I wouldn't give it up for anything less than my own wedding, childbirth, or the chance to live at home. I'm a career commuter...I know what living at home would be worth.

The class date it out of my hands. The ERJ class on the 5th is full so Mrs. bannister called and told me I'd be moving to the 25th. I believe there is a CRJ class in the middle of that somewhere. However I'm seeing if anyone wants to trade their CRJ class for my ERJ which they both should be within relatively close to each other. I'm thinking more along the lines of a domicile swap.

Do as you wish, but remember one thing is this job. Senority is king. It may not matter much, maybe it will.

This is one of the few times I actually agree with HMP, I commuted for 2 years and hated every minute of my life. I am now based at home and there is NO comparison. I gave of 2 years of senority at PDT (which is not that great) to be based at home. 2 weeks might make you 20-40 peeps lower, but at a 1800 pilot company that is negligible.
