Interview with American Eagle and ASA
I have an interview with ASA and American Eagle comming in about a week. Any information I've found on American Eagle is very miminal and I'm sure about ASA with the Skywest merger. A buddy of mine told me that any ASA pilot can jump to Skywest without interviewing. Can I get some feedback on these two airlines?? Thanks Freightcowboy

No, ASA pilots definately can't jump over to SKW that easy. Completely FALSE.

American Eagle to hire 600 pilots in 2007. AA also anounced pilot recalls which will open Captain vacancies and the list should start to move. As of late we have already witnessed more Captain positions available. If you were to get hired now you would be at the begining of hiring boom. As for ASA I know that you can not jump over to Skywest and my neighbor across the street is an ASA Captain and he is trying to jump ship as soon as possible. Good luck.

I Don't Have It In Writing But I Have Been Told By A Member Of Our Hiring Department That We Are Forcasting To Hire 600 Pilots. It Might Be A Rumor But The Fact The Company Has Ask Us To Reccommend As Many Pilots As Possible Is Not A Rumor. It Was Emailed To Us Along With The Anouncement Of Recalls And The Email Also Said Thanks To The Flowbacks For Their Service. It Made It Sound Like The Flowbacks Would Be Leaving Shortly. At 10 A Month For Recalls I Don't See That Happing Thats Why We Feel The Number Per Month Will Increase In The Future Once The Aa Training Center Can Accomodate More. There Is No Way Aa Can Keep Up With Attrition At 10/ Month.

With only around 430 TT and 110 ME when I graduate in May, should I still apply to American Eagle?
