Come to TransStates
Envoy: flow above all beatings
Skywest: koolaid is better than pay/QOL
PSA: decent pay, contract, movement
Horizon: concede to OO; anything for AS
Republic: good contract, bases, fleet, decent pay, movement
Piedmont: quick movement, #3 WO
Gojet: scab airline
Endeavor: high pay, stable, good movement
Compass: republic of the west, unknown future
Air Wisc: good benefits, unknown future
To answer your question IMO:
Top Picks: PSA, RAH, PDT, EDV, CPZ
Avoid: TSA, XJT, Mesa, C5

If you live in one of their West coast bases I’d say go for it. But if you want to upgrade to CA within 2-3 years then you will be commuting or moving back to one of their East coast bases anyway... That plus their pay and contract aren’t particularly competitive.

As far as stability goes, a wholly owned regional is your best bet. One of the 3 AA WOs or EDV (Delta WO). Skywest is large enough that they're safe too but they're lagging in pay. Avoid GoJet. Republic is also large enough that they'll be around for the foreseeable future and they have good pay, QOL and lots of bases to choose from. Too much unknown with Compass and it's ending contracts coming up, they're a risky choice right now. Plenty of flying at the AA WOs and I believe EDV as well to fly a lot and you'll upgrade as soon as you have the required hours.

I’m in my mid 40’s, live in the Southeast and would like some comments/suggestions on choosing between PSA and Republic. QOL is important, but so is building 121 time as quickly as possible, my biological clock is further along than most FO’s. Thanks in advance.

Where in the southeast do you live?

PSA... CLT is a relatively easy commute from most places in the southeast. Some who live in FL think that commuting to MIA will be easy but intra-Florida travel sucks and getting a seat can be wildly unpredictable. DCA and PHL are also reasonably commutable as well.

If you are, well your choices are slim. They are all pretty much the same, pay is about the same, some variation in benefits here and there, but not much different. I would suggest a wholely own reginal, just because they have a better travel package.
If your not looking for a long term at the reginals then go to one that best meet your living situation. Get your time and move on.
