Bump, I am looking for long-term.

Friends/other pilots always told me: Skywest, Horizon (looking at West coast)

What's written on the forums nowadays and after jumpseating a few times... I don't know. Looks like fatigue is becoming more often an issue due staffing.

Friends at Mesa IAH seem to be happy. Should I....?

Skywest now has LGA as a base which is junior. So I wonder if the whole goto Skywest for the bases rings true anymore?

I would avoid any none wholly owned especially given that you don’t mind moving and are in it for the long haul.

Not as much. FO's should be able to get back west pretty quick, junior upgrades will be in the east for a while, but should be able to get back west (to reserve) within a year or two.

But the only people who are ever going to have good CA seniority in the west got hired 20 years ago, and most are not leaving. So plan on eventually moving on if you want QOL and money in the west. If you want to be a lifer in the east and live in base, that might work out.

That’s my point, Skywest has diluted their attraction by opening coast bases. Business is business obviously, but it’s just a point to note for those not currently in the 121 to think about that they may not be aware about.

The only thing west about Skywest is that they fly in the western hemisphere
