I think the important things is to think ahead and prepare for the income you are about to be reduced to. For me, I am making really good $ right now and I taking advantage of it - paid off credit cards, double and triple car payments and flight loan payments., etc. If we plan ahead and are prepared for the income we know we are going to expect...maybe we won't be soar about it and complain all the time on internet forums. ;)

I have had 3 buddies hired into PNCL with class dates ranging from yesterday to may 14. I also know of 2 guys on a first name basis who have been hired. Highest time was around 700 hours, lowest was 550- multi time ranged from 25 to 100 hours. Not the 250 times, but still well below the "published" mins of 1000/200

training- first 3 months- 1200/mo
Reserve- I averaged 1800/mo Line holder- 2200/mo This includes all take home after taxes with per diem included. If you are one who likes to fly you can make $2400 in a month, or if you are not yet eligible for 401K (6 months after checkride you can contribute). If you budget (tight) to $2000 a month you should be OK as a lineholder, or a reserve guy with alot of sit time. Either way- it sucks... |

[QUOTE=lowflyby;145874] They pay $300 a week starting April 9, instead of $200. Also you get a $500 bonus 6 months after your checkride if you're still there. QUOTE]
Just an FYI...I am a reserve FO for Pinnacle and I dont even make 300.00 per week after state and federal taxes...I make just over that if I include per diem but I dont include that because the per diem is already spent because I have to eat. So your best bet is to stay in training and dont go to the line....youll make more money (at least as a first year FO) |
