Best Regional For Phoenix Base
#21
Thanks for the long, drawn-out post about things I didn't even mention. I never said anything about WO vs non-WO, retirement, or staying longer at any regional. Where in the world did you get that?
Anyway, I just found it humorous that someone is selling a place that they themselves think might be gone in as little as two years, hence my sarcasm. You say get your time asap and get out, which is hard to do if you have to start from the bottom again in 2 years...

So it looks like each of us have given the other a good laugh.

When did I say any regional was "safe"? But go ahead, keep putting more words in my mouth, I'm sure it'll make you sound more intelligent.

This is really the entire argument against the aviation career. The reason young people these days don’t want to be involved. There is no defined path to a solid career after a very large investment. This will have to change or the regionals are going under.

I feel like this can also be applied to many, many other jobs. Heck most of my friends are on their second or third position and we are talking white collar jobs.

The opportunities are there, but you have to be willing to take reasonable risks, work hard, and persevere. Playing online video games in your momma's basemnt isn't gonna get it done.

Absolutely. The days of 30-40 years with the same company and you get to retire with a lifetime pension and a gold watch are long gone.

If I can commute from the east coast to LA for over a year, your friend will probably survive another few months.
