FA injured in cart vs jumpseat incident
Hey was wondering if anyone had anymore information on this. Since it was considered a reportable event to the NTSB, it should be in the system. However without date or even a location where it occurred, its impossible to look up.
There was an NTSB report on this in the CALLBACK ASRS newsletter but I couldn't find anything on it in ASRS or the NTSB docket system.
The plane was I believe a E-jet and it was a ferry flight no pax onboard. The C FA was a trainee who was counting the alcohol cart when her fellow FAs called her to the front to take a pic of one of em in the cockpit JS (Against company policy for any FA to be in that seat) Anyway she forgot to lock and secure the cart so on touchdown TR activated and the cart went flying forward like an empty 757 on static takeoff. One the FAs was seriously injured with part of her crushed by the cart, had to be airlifted.
