Age at compass as far as I know (AFAIK if you will)

To each his/her own, but making a choice of regional based upon how many people IN YOUR INDOC CLASS you will be senior to seems a little questionable.

I mean everything else - and I mean everything - woukd need to be dead even before that woukd even enter into consideration.

But, YMMV.

Funny, but at a very large regional I ended up in a small base on an even smaller plane with three people from my new hire class senior to me... it made a big difference for many years.

There is some merit in this. At Envoy the CRJ to a new hire now is the kiss of death, as far as prospects of moving forward at any pace at all compared to literally every other fleet and base in the company.

Ignore this unless there is something specific you are looking for. It may help... it may hurt
I was the senior pilot in my new hire class, and because of that I took the ATR. Pilots junior to me got the WMB-120. Losers.
Well, they got more time than me. They upgraded to captain before me because of that. They got hired by DAL, but I didn’t have the time.
Of course 9/11 hit and they were furloughed. But when the hiring picked up again they were called back and I was considered “untrainable”.
