Back in the early 2000s ATP Flight School zero to hero with all CFIs in 120 days. If you had a Private Certificate coming in it was 90 days. It can definitely be done if the program is structured properly. I’m not saying it’s the safest way but it can be done. I remember people being hired at regionals that were flying the line 6 months after their first training flight in a piston.

With all that said I don’t things will ever be that way again unless it’s a program like the European airlines do.

I did that, but due to a shortage of DPE's, it took five months. Needless to say, I decided to flight instruct at a busy 141 school to let all that I learned to register and sink in. Looking back, it was faster than ideal.

You mean everyone who can't hold a first class medical? Thousands of them.
