I understand comair has started with some long call reserve stuff according to APC. Seems like it might improve life a little bit.

"Long call" reserves will have the contractual requirement to contact their scheduling department (on their day off prior to the start of their on call days) for notification of their "short call" reserve window the next day:p

Good, now that our friends at Comair got kicked in the teeth they're getting a set of dentures in the form of long call to "improve" their lifestyle.
