ORD Offsite Parking

Anyone know of any companies offering offsite parking at ORD with crew discounts? Getting tired of the horrible bus service to the crew lots. Took over an hour just to get from gate to parking spot yesterday.

Perhaps any that charge monthly, discounted day etc.

Thanks

You’re the first person I’ve ever heard complain about the on-site parking at o’hare, and half my company uses it.

Heard rumors about being able to park at some lot by WallyPark where some of the scrub workers park on the southeast side of the airport but I doubt the bus service is any better from there.

You could park at Cumberland or Rosemont and take the train but it’s probably going to take longer than the bus and cost you about $150 a month.

Which company? The buses never run on time anymore, often don’t show up at gates that are not the primary.

I think if you work for United or are AA mainline you have it ok.

I’m on the UAX side, maybe it’s different on the eagle side. I’ve heard wallypark in general sometimes offers crew rates so it may be worth giving them a call.

Pride parking. No crew discount. Still the cheapest with an online reservation.

way.com to find the cheapest prices. A lot of hotels and other businesses offer parking for just a few dollars per day.

What you are going to end up finding out is that these are not going to be any quicker, and most likely much longer when you average the times over a long period of time. Because now you have to deal with TSA, longer walks, and traffic the shuttle van has to go through.

It's not. I budget 45 minutes to go from my car to the departure gate these days. Buses are usually standing room only for us.

The real issue now isn't even the length of time it takes to get to and from, which believe me is still a joke, but rather the buses not running anywhere close to schedule.

Drivers will roll up, not see someone, yet leave even though they are five minutes ahead of schedule. Sometimes they don't even show up to the gates they are supposed to.

The system is poorly run with no repercussions it seems for drivers that dont attempt to follow the schedule. Its frustrating standing there for 20 minutes, then call the company and are told the driver was there 5 minutes ago, yet you had been there for the past 20, so someone is not telling the truth.

Anyway, doesn't seem to be getting any better.
