Lewis-

I have been at Mesa since the beginning of this year. It's not anything like the guys on here say it is. That's because a vast majority of them work elsewhere and speculate about Mesa having never set a foot on the premises.

Note: I said vast majority, so I don't want every chotch on here who has worked at mesa to respond to this. You've been quiet this long, so keep it up.

Pretty sure you didn't get ORD yet, since you haven't talked to the standing bid girls. That should happen around the end of week 2. Wouldn't count on the jet either. The class that started about 3 weeks ago all went to the Beech 1900.

If you like to fly, this is a great place b/c you'll do plenty of it. The guys I fly with are great, and I enjoy myself. Pay isn't much, but if you're not used to having a lot of it to begin with, you won't really care.

Good luck. Keep a good attitude, and have fun with ground school. I loved it, and PHX is a fun place to be.
Hmmmm, Well, I have been here a bit longer than that and it IS NOT GREAT PLACE TO BE! I will leave it at that, because if you can't figure it out from the threads on this or ANY other board then you need to pull your head out of the sand. There is a reason that we can't staff our planes and F.O.'s can't seem to make it 3 bids here. However, There are those few ppl that like to be abused....Hence those ppl that like the bondage and domination types

I guarantee you this tool bag came from Farmington...didn't you "newgrad"? You hang on to J.O.'s every word, don't you? I suppose with 230hrs and 20hrs in a FTD Mesa was the only place that would hire you.

Had three guys in my initial class that came from MESA, and all of them said the same thing about lack of days off (8 a month if you're on reserve), crew scheduling abuses, MEL's (lots and lots of them as J.O. doesn't believe in mx), poor pay, TDY....you get the picture. That's just three of the many I've talked to about how bad things are at MESA.

Y do people accept jobs at mesa in order to drag the industry pay and QQL down? Especially with over 800TT which by todays mins could get you a job somewhere much better.

He knows what it's all about...he's been flying the line for a month or so. Maybe they don't get abused as much in the Dash, doubtful though. When the new hire shine fades from his polyester pants after sitting RR 20 days per bid, he'll figure it out.

Xtreme-

We've spoken before on this site, and even agreed to beers together to discuss the "greatness" of this company. I know you've been around longer and I know what your talking about. Never said it was perfect, just trying to be a little positive for the new hire.

Sanchez-

Don't appreciate the tool bag comment, nor the assumption of where I come from. As much as you wish I was, I am not a farmington grad. I was hired after I graduated in December from a big 12 university (not trying to big time anyone with that comment, just informing sanchez that he was wrong). Had far more time that the 200ish and 20 FTD.

My sim partner was, however, and I think he wouldn't appreciate your condecending tone.

I don't hang on to J.O's every word, and both airplanes I flew yesterday were free of MEL's. Since Apr 1st I have had 15 days off and haven't been junior assigned once since I have been an employee.

Slice-

I have been around for since the beginning of the new year. I don't know everything, but thanks for tossing some words into my mouth. Since were playing that game, I know its better where you are, I know your better than me and I know you know everything. Feel better now? Good.

Lewis-

Sanchez is just another example of a person who's got "three guys in his initial class" who told him everything about Mesa. It was all the truth, as you can see.

It's not a perfect job, but a good attitude seems to make things a little better.

Good luck to you.

Apparently the other pilots at MESA and the feds disagree with you. A little reseach will help the lad decide for himself. Check out the posts from some of the guys that have been there over 2 years as oppose to 3 months, or how about the cancellation rates, on time stats, or incident/accident reports.

Oh, and wasn't it MESA that was featured in multiple network news stories about their pilots constantly sleeping in the aircraft because the company wouldn't provide hotel rooms? J.O.'s answer: all crews will share one hotel room.

Is this really who you want to work for?

Sanchez-

What exactly are you trying to argue with me about?

Crews do not share one hotel room. Even in training, I had my own room.

You don't work here, and you don't know what your talking about.
