Funny you should mention being able to tell everything about someone from these boards...b/c you and sanchez assumed I was a new grad b/c of my screen name. When I first registered with the site, over a year ago, I was a recent graduate. You both also assumed I was a farmington grad as well. So sorry for actually reading what you said, rather than just
assuming based off your name.
I thought you said you read my posts? I don't think so, otherwise you would see that I never accused you of being from Farmington. Farmington where? I have no idea what the heck the Farmington thing is about. Enlighten me. I don't assume anything about anyone but a year isn't that long ago. Wouldn't that still constitute as a "newgrad"? Don't answer that. I'm just being stupid now. I agree with sanchez, lets get back on topic and get off of this nonsense. Conversation: OVER

No, not really. I just thought it was pretty damn funny.

I'll tell you what I expected when I got hired...exactly what I got. A company that pays well, respects my days off, respects my contract, has great relations with our union, and makes it a point to hire folks with an education as THIS IS A WHITE COLLAR JOB.

Conversation is over, come back and talk with the grown ups when you're old enough to upgrade and you nut sack drops.
The reference was to the weak ass pilots that put in the time and effort to go through training only to quit after a few months. That is pitiful, and an huge waste.

You're still coming on strong with the high school cut downs. I'm very proud of you. Maturity is part of the job as well, bud.

Let's see: we're a unionized group of workers paid by the hour. You're right, this is a white collar job.

It's not just the pilots on these boards that deluge us newbies with monetary advice regarding Mesa, but nearly every pilot that has ever heard of MAG! Seriously, why would you fly for the airline that every (or nearly every) self-respecting pilot in the industry is running away from?! Albeit, a job is a job; although I doubt the majority of MAG pilots would not be able to find a flying job elsewhere.

And where are you now???

In the right seat of an airplane I won't spend 4 years in.

Not to answer for my friend but I'd say its logging PIC and being patient about where he travels to next. It is a blast making crap hectic though. Just not on our fridays!

MESA Rule #1, never ever answer your phone. Even on reserve. Get the message, check a computer, bide your time then call back you get 15 minutes, what are they going to do fire you? Chances are they either fixed thier screw up or found someone else to hose.

MM07 Rock on! Keep it up boys.

F150, rule #2 ?

Ok, ok, ok. Let's back off here. Are we pilots against pilots or pilots against bad management, here? Common, eh! I can say and we all can say "Mesa blows" (and it does) but it seems lewisflyer has made up his mind. Let's just try to offer him the best advice and comfort so he can get through the turmoil at Mesa with minimal emotional and spiritual scarring.

Lewisflyer, as I said earlier, I wish you the best of luck. Although I think Mesa is a huge mistake and the company is corrupt, you should be able to come back here to APC and have people to talk to when the sh!t hits the fan. I can't blame a guy for wanting a job and I wont. However, Mesa may wreck your dreams to persue aviation as a career. I personally know quite a few people who have or almost tossed the aviation career in the trash can after dodging flack at Mesa. Most (not all) of what people on here have to say about Mesa is true. Newgrad has a point; take things with a grain of salt on the forum. But, one thing I can say is believe at least half of the Mesa stuff you see posted. And that half is pretty lethal. If you do in fact choose to continue and go with Mesa, I really truely hope you can be happy there for a year at least. If skyhigh posted his 2 cents on here about Mesa, you would be so depressed that I don't even think you would show up for your class date. Where are you sky?

What's your plan for the contract negotiations. When JO sends the 50 seaters to the china and all of the guys senior to you roll back and take your seat and line? Whatcha gonna do?

Honestly, I built 800 hours of turbine time, based 6 minutes from my home and in my bed every night. When the time came I walked in the door at a better airline (Republic) and was offered to fly thier largest equipment.

{Before the low time scab comments come out, I have 600 hours dual given and flew frieght for three months all of this after being forced into bankruptcy because the Pilot Mill I paid up front went under with my money in thier pockets. Lets just say I've learned some lessons and not just some meat head out here telling storys.}

Some guys came because they could sit in the left seat from day one. This of course has its ups and downs. Very few of these guys have hard lines after 14 months, but the Turbine PIC column keeps filling up and the guys at the next company don't really care how it gets there.

FO's can walk practically into hard lines at AirMidwest once they leave the LOFT session.

Right wrong or otherwise people do things for thier own reasons, we are not really in a position to question this just as they aren't in a position to question ours. All we can do is look at the big picture fight the good fight and look to the future, its going to be interesting.
