How long to hear back?
 

With the regional carriers, how soon after a Phone or Skype interview would you anticipate hearing back?

Are estimates given at the conclusion of the conversation (“Expect to hear from us within...”) generally reliable?

Depends on the regional
 

And your particular qualifications.
And how many are already in the pool.
And how backed up the training is.
And the current manning (pardon, staffing) for that regional.

To quote a close friend, ‘It is what it is.’

Generally it is best to interview at multiple places.

Apps are wallpapered everywhere, with several more interviews lined up through May & June. Was told to expect a call by the end of the week following one Skype interview, but it’s been radio silence. Classes there are available as early as next month. Hoping no news is good news & they’re just backed up.

It depends on the airline. I’ve heard people getting phone calls anywhere from 30 minutes after submitting to a few months

When I applied to endeavor. I heard back 24 hours later in 2016. Now it’s taking several weeks to hear back.

Other places it could be a few hours to 72 hours roughly. If you submit on a Friday night, might not hear back until Monday.


The airlines like PSA, republic and endeavor who announced higher pay are getting flooded with apps. At one point last year endeavor was only taking people with 121 time. That’s stopped.

Heard back from PSA and TSA right after the interview. That was last month.

Its a holiday weekend so I have a gut feeling you won’t get any calls until Tuesday.

This is what I was thinking. Interviewed Thursday evening; was told I’d hear back the next day, but with it being a holiday weekend maybe they weren’t able to get to it. FX for a call or email Tues.
