Lay Offs
 

The difference is that when someone gets laid off from IBM they most likely will find another job of equil pay fairly quickly and could even get more pay. A pilot is valueless outside of the seniority system.

I love the chugging sound of a DHC-2 as it slowly makes its way past.

I love seeing the night sky from FL370, or a sunset from that same altitude. Never seems to amaze me how lucky we are to be able to live out our childhood dreams instead of sitting at a desk. Yeah, the pay could be better- but you can say that same thing about almost any job.

Aviation as hardly even been around for only 100 years. We all are truly lucky to be living during these times.

Wool Uniforms
 

I never was able to work for a company that supplied quality wool uniforms. Everything I ever got was cheap polyester junk.

I bet the older DAL uniforms were great.

I'm not sure what you mean by "hot". If you mean 'flamin'.... I've seen a few of those around. If you mean 'Maxim Covergirl', or even "Girl Next Door", I think that's another Airline Myth.
