Recency to be hired at a Regional Airline

I'm a Helicopter guy from the military. I'm building fixed wing time. I plan to join a regional using the Restricted ATP minimums (250 hours PIC airplane). By the time I interview for the airlines, I won't have flown a military helicopter for 4 years, but have been doing about 70 hours of C-172 flight time per year for those past 4 years. What sort of recency requirements do Regional Airlines want to see of candidates? 100 hours in the last 12 months? Some other flight hour amount in a given time? How much does recency really matter for the regionals? What if I have all of my minimums, but say only have 50 hours in a C-172 in the last 12 months? Thanks!

All that matters is that you recently took a breath.

I took a four year break from flying. I did 8 hours in a Cessna 172. I got signed off for a BFR and an IPC and got hired at Endeavor. That was over a year ago though.

2013, Mesa wanted 100 hours in the past 6 months I believed. Good thing I kept my instructor ratings.

For real. My interview at XJT in 2012 was a two-day affair in Atlanta. Then went into a “pool” for 3 months.
