Immediate classes & lots of flying
Wondering which regionals would offer a class like right away (more or less) and also have tons of flying. Ideally a nice upgrade time too. Granted you can't have everything in this life but....maybe a decent equilibrium of the things asked up there.
Thanks |
One word: Mesa

Besides Mesa, maybe trans states. Skywest is probly a few months out. Republic and Endeavor likely much longer.
Not sure about PSA. |

PSA you’d be luck to hit 200 hours in 12 months. Lotta reserve
|
Compass - lots of movement, minimal reserve time, fly your tail off the day after you finish OE. Cons: class dates might be somewhat longer like everyone else, and you’re rolling the dice with the contracts. < contrary to the doom and gloom all over 9E and ENY forums, compass will keep flying into we’ll into 2020 and through 2023.

^^^^^ This. Have 6 month coming up in the next few weeks and will be north of 400 hours. Also already holding a line. |

Thanks Bid the CRJ (Instead of the Ejet) for the larger bonus, get an immediate class date (mine was 9 days after the offer), 3 months of training in PHX and on the line. 300% open-time trips being offered probably throughout the whole summer. And upgrades are available when you have the required flight time. No waiting for your seniority to hold it. |
It seems Mesa offers classes the fastest compared to others out there. First year with the bonus must be OK, but second year after looking at the payscale, must be a hard one.

Expressjet is an option. They seem to be getting people into class quickly. There’s a lot of flying.

If I called during APW to grab a trip they would call me an hour later and tell me a lineholder took it. |
Anyone hiring DEC's into the E175 right now (not interested in other types, thanks)?

I'm kidding. Type makes no difference. I hope I didn't cause any CRJ drivers to stroke out. |

This. It's a known fact that E175 pilots are better than CRJ pilots. Also mainline hires more of them.

I don’t know how it is now but I got CLE out of class and often blocked 15-30 hours in a month. Lots of browns games. Lots of Indians games. Lots of cavs games.

Regardless, if you have the qualifications and make it through training, you can upgrade whenever you apply for it. They are short on Ejet CA’s. |

Nobody ever told me how ****ty commuting would be, and like you, I decided to commute to the best regional and after 3 yrs I'd much rather drive to a crap regional. Much rather |

Go to whichever regional has base near where you live. Drive to work will make your life 1000% better. Even if you have to wait. Don't commute.

I think our upgrade will be at 1 year with the 30 DL birds coming on line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
