This guy sounds like he’d be the absolute worst captain to fly with.

I've had great mentors throughout my career and at this company. My goal here is to just pay it forward, which I have been given the opportunity to do for multiple candidates through this platform. I've mentored a handful of new hires through the interview, training, IOE and post training processes. I enjoy sharing my experience in addition to the pros and cons that come with PSA to help a newcomer make the best decision they can when it comes to picking a Regional. It's hard coming into the 121 world without previous 121 experience.
I've had the opportunity to meet some great people at PSA who continue to mentor me and who have great resources available to them, whether they be in the CP office, Union Reps, Check Airman or in the HR department. Please don't turn this thread a dumpster fire, I'm just here to try and help people who are in the position I was 3 years ago coming from 14 years of "non 121 flying". So anyways, my offer stands. If you would like to ask me any questions, my phone is on and I'd be happy to help answer any questions and try to explain to you why or why not PSA might be a good fit for you moving forward. :) |
What's reserve like at PSA? How is the relationship between Schedulers and Pilots? How has the new pay impacted attrition and projected flow times? When is PSA opening a DFW base? When is TYS closing?
|
How long does it take to be hold DCA? Has this changed in recent years or will it change in the near future?

How hard would it be to get TYS as a new hire?
|
I will probably be applying to PSA in the next month or so and I'm accepting offers from current pilots to split the referral bonus. So far the best offer I have is 60% me 40% him. If you'd like to offer something better, please PM me.

Good luck with the hiring process!! Hope to see you on the line. If you have any questions or concerns PM me.

In all honesty you’re embarrassing yourself. Too bad you can’t delete this post. |

How's reserve? How long/short is it? Or does it depend on the base? Will I be sitting around or be used? Can you pick up trips while on rsv? Can you pick up trips while on rsv in other bases?
Will PSA (hopefully) use and abuse me on the CRJ, like Skywest will in DTW? |
I am looking into PSA as well and had a handful of questions. Where & how long is the training. How much are you paid during training & how many hours per week. I am interested in CLT, DAY & TYS in that order, what is the order of likelihood to receive those locations as a brand new FO.

Hello PSA CAs and FOs! I have my technical interview in a couple months and really need to get some help with preparing. Are any of you familiar with RST (Ready, Set, Takeoff), or any other advice for getting some methodical studying going for the basic interview questions. According to AviationInterviews.com, Jepp approach plates, RVRs, Metars, etc. are potential items. I have Googled and Youtubed, but feel like I need a better way to learn. Thanks in advance, Art. (704) 309-7338.
