Where To Work The Least

Hypothetically, if somebody wanted to work the least possible amount and bid reserve, which would be the best regional?

If one were to do this, what would their schedule be like?

Endeavor if you can tolerate the bases. With pbs you can bid for whatever arrangement of reserve days you want and if you’re last out and senior you won’t fly except during the worst of the IROPS, especially in the big bases like NYC 900. You’ll also avoid ready reserve once you have a few people junior to you in the base.

An example schedule might be 6 on 1 off 6 on 1 off 6 on 10 off, or 3 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off. You can basically with a few rules arrange your reserve days whenever you want with these being the two extremes. You usually get 12 days off. Long call pilots can get 12 consecutive days off if they want with 2 or 3 bonus days off thrown in for 117 rest. These can technically be out of base but scheduling is rarely that crafty.
