making a lateral move

I had a quick question to you all about making a lateral move in the industry. Right now, im flying for Comair and love it but I hate the commute to JFK and I dont want to sit reserve forever in CVG. I was thinking about making a switch to either Pinnacle or Mesaba just to be at home in Detroit. The only reason i would be changing would be for a better QOL. Is this move "frowned" upon in the industry? or would any future employers have a problem with leaving a company after a relatively short time? thanks for all the input

do it. spend time at home and love it! dont let the best years of your life get away from you, youll have no problems getting a job in the future cuz of a lateral move, as long as your prepared to justify it confidently. DOOOO ITTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DETROIT ROCK CITY!!!!!

thanks for the input. this might be a stupid question, but during the interview, if your coming from another 121 carrier, do you normally still have to do the sim ride? Its been a while since ive been in a frasca so id have to brush up

hmmm call em up and try to talk them out of making you do the sim i guess?

there was one guy in my hiring group with previous 121 experience...all of us went through the same stuff.
