Taking my shoes off?
 

Hey do we have to take our shoes off going through security if we are in uniform?

Technically no..... If you beep though, bad news. Make sure you have "Airport Friendly" shoes.

I always do, but I didn't even think to try to get away with keeping them on. I will try next time.

I bet it depends on the airport and the screener, also.

Long as they're "Airport Friendly" (pre-crazy guy with fireworks in his shoes) and you are in uniform they stay ON...no need to take them off. Period.

My shoes don't set the detector off, and you better believe they stay on my feet. I hate surrendering my shoes!

TSA is different at every airport. The vast majority are cool though, and as long as your shoes don't set off the detector, it's ok to wear them.

Do you guys really think we should be talking about crew security issues on here?

Keeping your shoes on hardly counts as a "security issue". Talking about FFDO among other things yes. Wearing boots in an airport.... no.
