SkyWest 200/700/900

So I'm in ORD today, and I saw SKW everywhere (not surprising, of course)...but I saw what seemed to be an equal number of all three CRJ's (well, more 200/700 than 900)

That just got me curious a bit, as I fly only the EMB-145. Do the 200's fly more out of certain bases, fly certain routes more often, more junior or senior? How often during a month will a Pilot swap a 700 for a 200 and vice-versa?? Also, how often will a crew do east coast and west coast flying on the same trip?

Well that's my ramblings after a long 5-leg day...it is now time for bed!

I saw my first 200 in the new Midwest colors landing in MCI this afternoon. Had to do a double take at first.

well you shouldnt see any skywest 900's at ORD since there are no 900's in the United paint. Youll see a skywest 900 in the Delta colors passing through from ATL, but that parks way on the other side of the airport.

With preferential bidding, you can any combination of flying. a lot of people preferred the 700 but that was something you could put in your preferences for bidding if you ony wanted the 200.

sometimes skywest would replace a leg that is normally a 200 with a 700, and vice versa, due to some circumstances. the 700 normally does more of the "long haul" stuff if you wanna call it that haha. like DEN - Birmingham, ORD-JAX, etc is in the 700.

Apparantly the salt lake guys were doing some east coast to west coast flying a lot, but now that skw has a ATL base that may change

I do believe SKYW 900's are flying through ORD now on the DAL side.

I don't work for skypest, but I do commute out of ORD, and I HAVE seen the 900 at ORD. Rather disturbing if you ask me.

BTW...isn't anyone else bothered by the fact that these people are flying a 900 series aircraft for FAR BELOW what is a crappy industry average??? I mean for crying out loud...it's worse than MESA!?!
