Regional accreditation is critical; reputation/pedigree is what it is (Duke/Stanford will be perceived more favorably than ‘State U’ by most), but no one can discredit a degree from a regionally accredited institution.

I knocked out a degree from TESU in about a year while flying for a regional.
I transferred in some credits, got some for my ATP and tested out of a lot.
Use degreeforum.net If it wasn’t for that forum and the advice received from some of the forum users there I’m not sure I could have done it.

Hi all!
Resurrecting this old thread to ask about TESU. I am currently enrolled in their B.S. in Aviation Management, but I am wondering about the TESU brand name and wonder if the institution is liked and recognized by the airlines, or if they much prefer different universities like ERAU or Texas a&m. Has anyone here graduated from TESU and got a job at the big 3 or at FedEx/UPS?
I know there's little hiring at the moment, but looking at the future, I expect the degree requirement to be reinstated by many carriers, so I am making sure now I am not getting a dud of a degree.

I know an FO who flew at XJT and Atlas who was hired off the street at AA with a degree from TESU

Don't worry about the "brand name." That is a thing of the past. A degree from an accredited institution; combined with PIC (although that's becoming moot), Check Airman, Safety, etc and you're good to go.
