Xjet Pilot Coming To Lax

XJet pilots, are you coming to LAX and not sure about a crash pad? I'm an ASA guy and several of us bought Motor Homes for a crash pad. It's better than hot bunks and you can take it to the beach on the weekends. Here is the low down. Parking lot B has a section designated for Motorhomes. It cost $60/mo. There is an awesome motorhome camp ground at the end of 25L called Dock Weillers, you can get water and dump the lav there.

If you are interested, drop me a note, I know several ASA folks that are going to try and sell theirs before we move on June 1.

Stick

P.S.
If you already have a motorhome and just want information, feel free to contact me.

A motorhome? my uncle lives in a motorhome, and he's unemployed. First year as an airline pilot must really suck.

They don't live there, it's just a place to hang out when commuters come to work the night before, or have to sit reserve. Sitting reserve at the beach doesn't sound bad to me...

I know, i was just trying to be funny (and trying to get my 10 posts in). long time reader, brand new at inserting my 2c. that kinda gig actually sounds pretty sweet when you think about it. Might be what ill have to do, trying to get the LAX base myself, commuting from PDX. wont be for a few months though. good luck

I live in an RV and park in El Segundo when I'm on reserve. It's a lot of fun riding on the bike path. I'll be looking into the Lot B thing in a couple of months. Thanks for the info on lot B. I might be looking to trade up a little if you know any ASA guys who might be interested. I've got 12.5K into my 19' class B.

watch out for the mainline motorhome gang. cranky bastards. Seriously, I thought they got rid of that lot? It's an awesome deal, and the location can't be beat. It's one place i wouldn't mind racking up in a motorhome.

I bought a van and live down by the river.

for those interested (bar the hilarious comedians) yes the lot is still open but to airline employees only. They use to let anyone in but had a problem with drugs, hookers, etc. so they kicked everyone out. (could of left a few hookers, but I digress...)

anyone interested in buying, just PM me, and for the rest if you have any questions I'll be happy to hook you with directions, fees, etc.

And this is coming from a UPS CA. Guys it's tough to commute. If you have a chance to save some caysh, this sounds like a great idea. I'd take you up on that de...if only I could get an interview at Brown:D Good post!

it's really an awesome setup they have down there. Before I moved from LA, I remember the airport trying to shut the lot due to the rift raft in there. There are no crash pads nearly as cheap as an RV that side of the 405, and the proximity can't be beat. You are surrounded by other pilots in the lot, and the mobility of an RV is an extra. Try finding a crashpad in torrance, marina del ray, hawthorne, or anywhere else close as cheap as a RV over the long term. I've thought about doing it at other places, but the lax location is the ideal set up
