Radar pm me and I'll let you now

It sucks that some of you guys had to go through that circus, but I think the long term rewards for kicking R.J. out and bringing Joe back will more than make up for it.

P.S. I've also been pretty impressed with the quality of guys posting on this thread. Keep up the good work and welcome aboard.

Hello, I'm new to the forum. I interviewed on May 18th and received a job offer a little more than a week later. I'm currently scheduled to begin training with the August 27th new hire class. I'm really looking forward to hitting the books and meeting some of you in person.

Hey guys, do any of the current xj drivers have a link to the saab vs. avro sound email? Our ground instructor played it for us a few days ago and it is absolutely hilarious......

Class is goin pretty well so far. We finished up the systems test tuesday and did doors and fire stuff at the MSP ARFF station today. The fire stuff was a little cheesy because its basically a gas grill that they turn off when you spray the fire extinguisher at it. Plus, the PBE you have to wear while youre doing it is probably the same one they've been using for years, but I guess thats why we have an immune system. :) If you can, take some time off before you come here because you will be studying, especially once you hit systems. No one has been sent home, which is awesome. What i've found since ive been here is to try and find a balance between studying and taking a break. The instructors are awesome and will keep the mood light which helps a lot since the days can seem to drag on, especially in your second week. Good luck once you get here.

Just finished IOE here, very cool trip. 4 days, 23 hours, 10-15 hours in IMC, 6 landings all with approaches and two down to a little above mins all while dodging thunderstorms. Line check airman was cool as was the FA. The pace is quick but I got it down without too many mistakes. Much more fun than the sim!!

Have fun while you are in training, study hard and take some breaks--just watch out for the geese around the ponds up there, they are aggressive!!

Just got my new hire package in the mail today. I talked with Steve last week and he said I would have the 9/24 class. I believe from the previous posts that there are 15-Saab and 15-crj-200 for this class. Steve remembered from the interview that I wanted DTW because of family(wife and kids). Any thoughts on if this is taken into account when they select equipment for you? I would really like the Saab since all the 200's will be out of MSP.

Per Steve Taylor -

"...Domiciles are assigned during the class and then there is usually a bid based on your preferences again during training."

Squawk,

Thanks, But don't they asign you equipment before you get to class. And as I understand all the 200's will be at MSP. Any other Thoughts?
